STORY
Sheila & Darren Burris first came to Costa Rica back in the early 1990’s, and together years later along with their children Sierra & Reef began to visit Nosara frequently. As a family of surfers and adventurers, they quickly embraced the tranquility and raw energy which gave Nosara it’s unique vibe; magical, full of love, laughter, relaxation and of course, amazing surf. Although falling in love with the entire country over the years they knew right away they wanted to embrace the energy and magic of this community and make this their home ... and so was born the dream of Casa Sierra.
Casa Sierra is balanced with chosen elements from their travels and personal experiences, exuding a personal warmth and embrace and brings into being a luxurious bohemian chic hideaway. It was dreamt up as a place to make you feel that you were both home and very far away all at the same time.
Upon entering the property, you are surrounded by personally appointed gardens and lush greenery complimented by an intoxicating open airy flow. You are quickly immersed in the personal touches and design elements that Sheila emphasized to create their tranquil oasis that is Casa Sierra.
Their home is furnished by Sheila's distinct tastes, using only the finest of appointed elements, from the luxury imported mattresses to the hand designed bathroom tiles, and is elegant in both its simplicity and attention to detail. They are honored to have many handmade local custom pieces from the fine artisans of Costa Rica and central America, including a one of a kind custom Teak dining room table / centerpiece and the Teak floating staircase.
Casa Sierra sits on an enviably quiet dead-end street close to everything but just tucked away from much of the Nosara activity. The property sits on a beautiful creek that frames the gorgeous unobstructed views of the jungle setting behind the entire property. Only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful main beach of Guiones, an easy bike ride to all of North Guiones and its restaurants, and close enough to Guiones town for yoga, coffee, breakfast or a relaxing morning stroll.
